Privacy Policy for Carrot Core Creations

Carrot Core Creations makes local-first apps and games. The core privacy position is simple: I do not want to know who is using the apps. I do not create accounts, require logins, sell data, share data for advertising, or build user profiles.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Carrot Core Creations website, support forms, and apps published by Carrot Core Creations, unless a specific app has its own privacy policy.
2. Personal Information I Do Not Collect
Carrot Core Creations apps are designed not to collect identifiable personal information.
- No account or login is required
- No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contact lists are requested by the apps
- No advertising identifiers are collected
- No cross-app tracking is used
- No behavioral advertising, remarketing, or data broker sharing is used
- No app usage profile is created to identify you
3. App Data and Local Processing
App content and app activity are intended to stay on your device unless you deliberately choose to export, share, or send something yourself. Apps do not require a remote account system to work.
Some apps may store game progress, preferences, customization, or imported content locally on your device. If you choose to import a custom image or similar content into an app, that content remains local to your device unless an Apple platform sync feature you use stores it in your private Apple-managed account. Carrot Core Creations does not upload that content to its own servers.
4. Diagnostics, Crashes, and Performance Data
Some apps may use platform-provided diagnostic tools, such as Apple MetricKit, or similar reliability tools on other platforms. These tools are used only to understand crashes, hangs, performance, battery, or other technical issues.
Diagnostic information may include generic technical details such as app version, operating system version, device type or model class, crash state, performance measurements, and whether a report came from the web or an app. It is not used to identify you, track you, advertise to you, or combine your activity across apps.
Apps may also record limited technical event information for reliability and debugging, such as app launches, purchase unlock outcomes, cloud sync outcomes, game move outcomes, and app version information. These events are used to understand whether features work correctly. They are not combined with names, emails, advertising identifiers, or account profiles.
5. Apple-Operated Platform Services
Some apps may use Apple-operated platform services, such as Game Center, App Store distribution, App Store purchase systems, TestFlight, or Apple-provided diagnostics. These services are operated by Apple, not by Carrot Core Creations. Apple may process information according to Apple's own privacy terms and settings.
If an app uses Game Center, Apple manages the Game Center account and authentication flow. Carrot Core Creations does not receive your Apple ID password, Apple ID email address, payment details, or a separate account login from Game Center. Depending on the feature used, the app may receive limited Game Center information needed for gameplay, such as authentication status, display name or alias, scoped player identifiers, achievements, leaderboard scores, and related Game Center gameplay state. This information is used only to provide the Game Center feature and is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking, or building a separate user profile.
If a Game Center feature uses friends, social leaderboards, achievements, or similar Game Center functionality, that feature is handled through Apple's Game Center systems. Carrot Core Creations does not use Game Center information for advertising, cross-app tracking, or non-game profiling.
Some apps may use Apple's iCloud key-value storage or Apple device-to-device sync features to keep game state, settings, preferences, or watch companion state consistent across your own devices. Carrot Core Creations does not receive your Apple ID, iCloud email address, iCloud password, or the contents of your private iCloud account. Apple operates the iCloud service and may process synced data according to Apple's own privacy terms and settings.
Carrot Core Creations does not use Sign in with Apple, CloudKit databases controlled by Carrot Core Creations, keychain syncing, or app-group sharing unless a specific app clearly needs that feature and explains it.
6. In-App Purchases
Some apps may offer in-app purchases, such as a full-version unlock. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Carrot Core Creations does not receive your payment card number, billing address, Apple ID password, or Apple ID email address from the purchase.
The app may receive purchase status, transaction, receipt, product, or entitlement information needed to confirm that the purchase was completed and to unlock the purchased feature. This purchase information is used only to provide and restore the purchase, prevent fraud, support the app, and comply with App Store or legal requirements.
7. Support and Feedback Forms
Support forms are designed to collect only the information needed to understand a support request: the app involved, generic device type, app or system version, whether the request came from the web or an app, and the issue or feedback you choose to send.
Support forms may allow optional screenshot or video uploads. Please do not include personal information in support messages, screenshots, or videos. If you choose to include information that can identify you, it will be used only to handle the support request and will not be sold, shared for advertising, or used to profile you.
8. Website
This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioral advertising scripts. Normal technical requests are still made when your browser loads a web page, such as requesting HTML, CSS, images, and support-form embeds from the relevant hosting or form provider.
9. Legal Basis Where Required
Where privacy laws require a legal basis, the limited technical processing described in this policy is based on legitimate interests in operating, securing, debugging, and improving the apps and website. Support requests are handled based on your voluntary request and, where required, your consent. In-app purchases are processed as needed to perform the purchase contract, provide purchased functionality, restore purchases, and comply with App Store and legal obligations.
10. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
Carrot Core Creations does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use sensitive personal information for profiling or targeted advertising.
11. Retention
Because the apps are designed not to collect identifiable personal information, there is normally no user record to retain or delete. Technical diagnostics and support submissions are kept only as long as reasonably needed to understand issues, maintain the apps, respond to support, or meet legal obligations. Purchase records may be retained by Apple and, where visible to the app, used as needed to maintain purchase entitlement and restore purchases. Anonymous or aggregate technical information may be kept for longer.
12. International Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about how personal information is used. Because Carrot Core Creations does not maintain user accounts or intentionally collect identifiers, there may be no identifiable record that can be matched to you. If you believe you have sent identifiable information through support, you can request that it be reviewed or deleted.
13. Children's Privacy
Carrot Core Creations does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The apps do not require accounts, logins, or identifiable profiles for users of any age.
14. Sensitive Permissions
Carrot Core Creations apps do not request access to contacts, precise location, health data, calendars, microphone, camera, Bluetooth, or similar sensitive device permissions unless a specific app clearly needs that feature and explains it. If file access or photo picking is added to an app, it will be limited to content you choose, and that content will not be uploaded to Carrot Core Creations servers.
15. Security
The strongest protection is data minimization. Carrot Core Creations avoids collecting identifiable information in the first place. Any support information that is received is handled only for support and maintenance purposes.
16. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when apps, support flows, platform tools, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when meaningful changes are made.

For privacy questions or deletion requests about information you sent through support, use the support form and include only the minimum information needed to understand the request.
